Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland has died at age 24 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities confirm. Police say the tragedy followed a car chase late Wednesday night in Frisco, Texas, after officers attempted to stop Kneeland’s vehicle for a traffic violation. Following the pursuit, Kneeland’s car was found abandoned, and he was later discovered deceased nearby. Kneeland, a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan, was regarded as a rising talent on the Cowboys’ defensive line. Teammates and coaches described him as a hardworking and positive presence both on and off the field. The Cowboys organization released a statement expressing heartbreak over the loss and offered condolences to his family and loved ones, stating “Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”
