Deborra-Lee Furness files for divorce from Hugh Jackman nearly two years after public split
The two announced their separation in 2023 after 27 years of marriage, presenting the split as amicable. Nearly two years later, Furness has officially filed for divorce and is speaking out on how she is coping with the process, saying “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.” The statement seemingly alludes to Jackman’s rumored affair and relationship with Broadway co-star Sutton Foster, who he has since gone public with. The official filing reportedly took place on May 23 after two years of dispute over their estimated $250 million fortune, however the filings indicate that final terms of the divorce are uncontested and will only require a judge to sign off.
Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley receive presidential pardon on fraud and tax evasion charges
The celebrity duo and stars of Chrisley Knows Best were found guilty of conspiring to defraud Atlanta-area community banks to obtain more than $36 million in personal loans back in 2022. The two also allegedly conspired to defraud the Internal Revenue Service according to the attorney’s office. Accusations against the couple reportedly stemmed from as early as 2007. Following the verdict, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison while Julie Chrisley was sentenced to seven. The couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, began to lobby for a pardon on the Trump campaign trail prior to the 2024 election, speaking at the Republican National Convention last July, citing an unfair and biased criminal justice system as the reason for her parents conviction. The news broke when President Trump contacted Savannah directly to inform her of the pardon, sharing the moment on social media, writing “Trump Knows Best!” The couple will be released from custody “free and clean” of all charges against them.
