The annual list recognizes 100 of the most influential people from around the globe. From artists and entertainers to athletes, politicians, activists, and more, TIME100 acknowledges individuals for their impact on current events and how they are transforming the world. This year’s list features six different categories: artists, icons, leaders, titans, pioneers, and innovators. Hollywood stars such as Demi Moore, Scarlett Johansson, Adrien Brody, and Rashida Jones earned their spots this year, alongside musicians like Ed Sheeran, Snoop Dogg, and Hozier, and athletes including Simone Biles, Jalen Hurts, and Léon Marchand. Game show host Wink Martindale dies at 91
The legendary TV and radio personality, best known for hosting game shows such as "Gambit," "Tic-Tac-Dough," and "Debt," passed away on Tuesday in Rancho Mirage, California. Along with his time in television, Martindale starred in a variety of radio shows throughout his 74-year-long career, serving as the morning DJ at multiple Los Angeles-based stations, including KHJ, KRLA, and KFWB, and also hosted several syndicated shows. From 1960 onward, he became known for his gigs hosting game shows, including "Trivial Pursuit," "The Great Getaway Game," and "The Last Word." He even went on to produce the 1985 game show "Headline Chasers." According to a spokesperson for the family, Martindale was “surrounded by family and his beloved wife of 49 years, Sandra Martindale,” at the time of his passing. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
