National Stress Awareness Day is recognized in the U.S.
Election season can be stressful for everyone no matter the result, but there are many ways to manage feelings of uncertainty and nervousness. Recognized annually on the first Wednesday of November, National Stress Awareness Day encourages seeking better ways to help manage anxiety and protect your peace. Take a moment today to reflect on what exactly is causing you stress. Whether it be a personal relationship, work environment, financial hardship, or social expectation, take a moment to separate yourself from the situation and focus on mindfulness. Breathing exercises, yoga, reading, and journaling are all proven ways to reduce stress. Set boundaries based on your own limits for each day, and learn that it is okay to say no in situations where you are uncomfortable.

National Nachos Day is celebrated
Calling all nacho lovers, November 6 is National Nacho Day! Beloved across the globe for their combination of cheeses, meats, and other delicious ingredients, nachos are the perfect appetizer for any occasion. First invented in Mexico around 1943 and named for creator Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya, the original recipe featured classic triangle-cut tostadas topped with shredded cheese and diced jalapenos. Today, we regularly include a multitude of toppings on this delicious dish, including guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, queso, onions, and beans.

National Saxophone Day is also celebrated
Celebrated concurrently with the birthday of musician and inventor Adolphe Sax, National Saxophone Day celebrates the single-reed woodwind instrument that has shaped bands and orchestras for more than 180 years. Known as a staple in jazz music, the saxophone has a recognizable tone that has been made famous across generations by musicians such as John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and Sonny Rollins, as well as more modern players such as Clarence Clemons. Music lovers and musicians alike can celebrate the holiday by streaming popular jazz artists, jazz radio stations, or by listening to orchestral music and tuning your ears to identify the sax’s signature sound.
