The Handmaid’s Tale spinoff, The Testaments debuts with cameo from Elisabeth Moss
The Handmaid’s Tale spinoff The Testaments has officially debuted on Hulu, launching with three episodes available to stream. Set in the same universe as The Handmaid’s Tale, the new series takes place years after the original story’s events. Elisabeth Moss, who also serves as an executive producer, returns for a cameo in the premiere episode, reprising her role as June Osborne. Ann Dowd is also back, once again portraying her Emmy-winning character Aunt Lydia. The series introduces new leads, including Chase Infiniti as Agnes, the devout daughter of a Commander, and Lucy Halliday as Daisy. The story follows their lives within Gilead’s oppressive regime and explores their potential to challenge and ultimately disrupt the system. Season one will consist of 10 episodes, with new installments released weekly every Wednesday, leading up to the finale in May.
Aubrey Plaza is pregnant with her first baby, with partner Chris Abbott
The 41-year-old actress and the 40-year-old actor are reportedly set to welcome their baby this fall. The couple was first seen together publicly at New York Fashion Week in February but have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight. Plaza and Abbott share a long professional history, having co-starred in the 2020 film Black Bear and the 2023 off-Broadway production Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. The news comes just over a year after the death of Plaza’s husband, Jeff Baena, in January 2025. Although the two had separated in September 2024, they remained close up until his passing.
Euphoria makes Coachella history with season 3 screening
With a first-of-its-kind Season 3 screening following the festival’s final performance on Sunday, April 12, the premiere episode will debut at 11:59 p.m. PT at the Coachella campgrounds, offering fans a late-night, under-the-stars viewing on a first-come, first-served basis for wristband holders. Season 3 will run for eight episodes, in line with previous seasons, and arrives four years after the Season 2 finale. The new chapter sees the return of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow, and introduces a five-year time jump that moves the story beyond high school into early adulthood. For those not attending Coachella, the episode will premiere globally at the same time on HBO.
