Iconic Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani dead at 93
Legendary Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, founder of the Valentino brand and one of haute couture’s most influential figures, has died at the age of 93. His passing was announced in an Instagram post that read, “Our founder, Valentino Garavani, passed away today at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones.” Born in Voghera, Italy, Valentino founded his eponymous fashion house, Maison Valentino, in Rome in 1960, quickly rising to international acclaim for his refined elegance, impeccable craftsmanship, and timeless glamour. Often hailed as “The Last Emperor” of fashion, Valentino dressed generations of royalty, celebrities, and cultural icons. His celebrated clientele—known as “Val’s Gals”—included Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Princess Diana, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Anne Hathaway. The house of Valentino became synonymous with sophistication, most famously through its signature “Valentino Red,” a shade that came to define red-carpet luxury. Beyond design, Garavani was a pioneer in licensing for Italian fashion houses, helping to shape the modern global fashion industry. Over his career, he received numerous international honors, including France’s Légion d'honneur, cementing his status as a towering figure in fashion history.

"We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard!" frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said in the announcement shared by the NFL on Sunday.

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett says 40th anniversary tour derailed due to Bret Michaels demanding six times more money than bandmates
Poison’s longtime drummer Rikki Rockett says plans for the band’s 40th anniversary tour collapsed after frontman Bret Michaels allegedly demanded to be paid six times more than the other members. According to Rockett, he, guitarist C.C. DeVille, and bassist Bobby Dall were ready to hit the road, but negotiations stalled over Michaels’ compensation. Michaels had previously floated 2026 as the “perfect” time for a 40-date reunion tour, marking four decades since Poison’s 1986 debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In.
