National Nut Day is celebrated in the U.S.
October 22 is National Nut Day, a day to celebrate the many kinds of nuts that provide us with important nutrients on a day to day basis. Whether eaten on their own, sprinkled on a salad, mixed into a smoothie, or baked in a dessert, nuts are a great source of protein and can help promote weight loss and an overall healthier lifestyle. Different types of nuts provide varying health benefits but generally help in boosting energy and immunity, and can also prevent your risk of heart disease. Celebrate today by incorporating your favorite kind of nut into your own diet, whether that be almonds, pecans, cashews, pistachios, or peanuts.
National Color Day is also recognized
Celebrated annually on October 22, National Color Day celebrates the never-ending rainbow that makes our world vibrant and beautiful. Subconsciously, colors can affect your mood based on your surroundings. For example, many may feel more lethargic on a gray winter day compared to a blooming bright day in the spring. Bright colors in your surrounding environment can help boost creativity, energy, and overall mental activity, so no matter the shade, surround yourself daily with the colors that make you feel rejuvenated and joyful.
