Freaky Friday cast members Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reunite on set as production for sequel is officially underway
Filming has begun for the much anticipated sequel of Disney’s 2003 hit Freaky Friday. The film’s stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan posed for a few on-set photos which were shared to Instagram by Walt Disney Studios. In true Freaky Friday fashion both Curtis and Lohan swapped places for the pictures, posing in front of each other's trailers holding hands. Disney also announced that fans can expect to see the film in theaters in 2025, with an official release date to be revealed at a later time.
Gena Rowlands Alzheimer’s diagnosis revealed by son and The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes
The Notebook made its theatrical debut on this day in 2004, and audiences were first captivated by Gena Rowlands’ portrayal of an Alzheimer’s patient. Exactly 20 years later, the film’s director and Rowlands’ son Nick Cassavetes revealed that she is now living with the same disease. According to Cassavetes, 94-year-old Rowlands has been living with Alzheimer’s for 5 years and is now in “full dementia.”
Post Malone announces 21-show “F-1 Trillion” country music tour
Shortly after announcing the release of his upcoming country album F-1 Trillion on August 16, Post Malone has revealed dates and cities for his tour of the same name. The “F-1 Trillion” tour will kick off on September 8 in Salt Lake City, Utah and will continue through October 19 making stops in 15 different states. It was also previously announced that the rapper/singer would be headlining New York City’s “Global Citizen Festival” on September 28, which will now also be included in the run of the tour.
Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock dies at 49
Shifty Shellshock, also known as Seth Binzer, served as frontman for Crazy Town since its inception in 1995. The rock band was best known for their 2000 hit single “Butterfly” in which Shellshock was the lead vocalist. He reportedly passed away in his home on Monday. A cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
