Jimmy Kimmel pulled off air by ABC over Charlie Kirk comments
ABC made the unexpected decision to pull late-night host’s show off the air following his recent on-air comments about late conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk. The remarks, which sparked widespread debate, prompted a swift reaction from the network as they faced pressure from both viewers and advertisers. The network has yet to announce when the show will return to its regular schedule, leaving fans and industry watchers eager for more details.
Friends-inspired café comes to NYC
A real‑life version of the fictional Central Perk coffeehouse is set to open in Times Square this fall. The café, created by the same team behind the Boston location, will feature a “modern‑take” on the show’s hang‑out, complete with an orange sofa room inspired by the original couch on the popular show. Located at the northeast corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street, this marks the first permanent Central Perk coffeehouse in New York City. Fans can expect artisanal coffee drinks and menu items designed by chef Tom Colicchio; exclusive merchandise; and six original coffee blends available in various formats including whole bean, ground, and compostable capsules.
The Summer I Turned Pretty gets a movie
The popular series based on Jenny Han’s best-selling book trilogy isn’t over just yet. Prime Video has officially greenlit a feature film continuation following the final episode of Season 3. The news was announced at the red carpet for the series finale in Paris last night. No release date has been confirmed yet, however Lola Tung and Christopher Briney will return as Belly and Conrad, with Han writing and directing the movie (co‑writing with Sarah Kucserka).
