The 21-year-old Stranger Things star and 23-year-old husband announced via social media on yesterday that they have adopted a baby girl. The couple posted a joint message on Instagram stating, "This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3". The couple tied the knot last year in May after dating since 2021.
Focus on the Family founder James Dobson dies at 89
The evangelical Christian author, psychologist and founder of Focus on the Family passed away peacefully at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado yesterday. Dobson was known for his work as a child psychologist, author of more than 70 books on family life, and host of a nationally syndicated radio broadcast. He established Focus on the Family in 1977, which grew into a prominent organization advocating for conservative Christian values. He resigned from his role as chairman of Focus on the Family in 2009 and subsequently launched the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute in 2010, continuing his work in broadcasting through Family Talk radio. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley, their two children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
Lil Nas X arrested for battery of a police officer in LA
The Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X was arrested early Thursday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of battery on a police officer and hospitalized for a possible overdose. Police responded to reports of a man walking naked on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City shortly before 6 a.m. Upon the arrival of police, Lil Nas X allegedly charged at the officers and punched an one twice during the incident. He was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a police officer. He was first transported to a hospital due to a possible overdose. After being discharged, he was booked into the Valley Jail in Van Nuys. The rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, is being held without bail, according to TMZ.

The 37-year-old actress has booked her first movie since the legal fallout with It Ends with Us co-star, Justin Baldoni. Lively will star in and serve as producer on the film penned by Tom Melia, known for his work on the 2023 rom-com Rye Lane.
