Optimist Day is celebrated around the globe
Celebrated annually on the first Thursday of February, Optimist Day promotes the benefits of positive thinking. Being generally optimistic can better your mental health, preventing worry and stress from creeping into everyday thoughts and emotions. Mental health can also directly impact physical health, and reduced rates of stress can help lower blood pressure, lessen the risk of heart disease, and boost immunity.

National Frozen Yogurt Day is celebrated
First introduced in the 1970s by entrepreneur H.P. Hood, frozen yogurt has become a fan-favorite frozen dessert all around the world. While similar to ice cream, frozen yogurt is typically made with cultured milk in place of cream and contains less fat. Frozen yogurt is often considered a healthier alternative to ice cream, so make a pit stop at a frozen yogurt shop near you to celebrate the holiday.
