Philadelphia Eagles claim victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX
The Eagles dominated the reigning champs throughout all four quarters of the game, leaving Kansas City trailing 34-0 in the third. Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the team to victory, scoring two touchdowns and completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, earning the MVP title. Running back Saquon Barkley also made some history of his own, setting a new single-season rushing record with 2,504 yards total. The Eagles successfully stopped the Chiefs from achieving the historic “three-peat,” defeating the team just two years after the Chiefs denied them a championship in 2023. This is the franchise’s second Super Bowl title; their most recent win was in 2018.
Ben Affleck, Glen Powell, Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal, Harrison Ford, and more make cameos in all-star Super Bowl commercial lineup
While there was no shortage of stars in the stands at Super Bowl LIX, many celeb favorites continued to appear on our screens throughout each commercial break. Hellman's took us back to the 80s in their 30-second ad, reuniting Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal in a scene recreation from their 1989 film When Harry Met Sally. The commercial also featured actress Sydney Sweeney delivering the iconic “I'll have what she's having” line. Ben Affleck returned to star in the Dunkin’ “DunKings” commercial this year alongside brother Casey Affleck, Bill Belichick, and Jeremy Strong. Actor Glen Powell appeared in a new commercial for Ram, and Harrison Ford reflected on freedom in his 2-minute advertisement for Jeep. Stars featured in other commercials included Aubrey Plaza, Drew Barrymore, Orlando Bloom, Bad Bunny, Post Malone, Bill Murray, Adam Brody, Peyton and Eli Manning, and more.

National Flannel Day is celebrated in the U.S.
Known for being soft to the touch and cozy in the wintertime, flannel is perfectly suited for clothing, bedding, blankets, and more. Often mistakenly used to refer to any article of clothing with a plaid or tartan pattern, flannel refers simply to the fabric; not all flannel is plaid, and not all plaid is flannel.
