Selena Gomez collaborates with Oreo to create brand new custom flavor
The singer/actress debuted the cookie earlier this morning with Oreo, pulling inspiration from her childhood, music, and fans to create a brand new flavor and look. The flavor is inspired by horchata, a Mexican beverage and childhood favorite of Gomez’s made with milk, ground rice, and cinnamon. The cookies will feature six different embossments, including Selena’s signature, and one that says “Selenators,” the given name to the 32-year-old star’s fan base. The collaboration will also help raise money for the Rare Impact Fund, which Gomez founded in 2020 to connect young people to mental health resources. The limited-edition cookies will hit the shelves on June 9 with online presale kicking off June 2.
Denzel Washington involved in altercation with photographer at Cannes Film Festival
The heated exchange took place on Monday at the premiere of A24’s Highest 2 Lowest, in which Washington stars. The photographer reportedly grabbed the 70-year-old actor’s arm to get his attention while he was speaking with the film’s director Spike Lee. Washington quickly demanded that the photographer stop, pointing directly at him with a stern warning, but as he turned to walk away the photographer was seen once again grabbing the actor. After jerking his arm free, Washington repeatedly told the photographer to stop, before removing himself from the exchange entirely. The altercation took place shortly before Washington was awarded an Honorary Palme d'Or at the event, which is known as the festival’s highest honor.
