Singer Connie Francis dead at 87
The pop singer and actress who achieved international stardom in the late 1950s and early 1960s, died on Wednesday. She rose to fame with hit songs such as “Pretty Little Baby”, "Who's Sorry Now?", "Lipstick on Your Collar", "Where the Boys Are", and "Stupid Cupid". In 1960, she made history as the first woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her hit single "Everybody's Somebody's Fool". Though the cause of death was not publicly disclosed, the singer had previously mentioned a hip injury that left her temporarily in a wheelchair. She is survived by her son, Joseph "Joey" Garzilli Jr., adopted in 1974 during her marriage to Joseph Garzilli.

The year’s biggest athletes and moments in sports were honored at the 33rd annual ESPY Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles last night. Several notable athletes and teams were recognized, with Simone Biles and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander winning Best Athlete awards, and the Philadelphia Eagles taking home Best Team. Tennis star Sloane Stephens took home the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award; Gymnast Suni Lee scored Best Comeback Athlete, Indiana Fever guard, Caitlin Clark won Best WNBA Player; and Eagles running back Saquon Barkley received Best NFL Player and Best Play for the backwards hurdle.

The mom-to-be shared a series of photos to her Instagram announcing the news yesterday. She jokingly captioned the post "Welp now everyone knows we had sex." The 31-year-old SNL star and the 29-year-old actress/model were first romantically linked in March 2025 when the pair were spotted together swimming and sharing a kiss in Palm Beach, Florida.
