Spotify Wrapped 2024 is unveiled for all users
Spotify users are taking over social media with the release of 2024’s Spotify Wrapped. The music streaming service officially dropped its annual collection of personalized data, allowing users to view their top artists, songs, and genres over the course of the past year. This year’s wrapped also included new features such as an AI-generated podcast discussing each user’s year in music, as well as a music evolution playlist that features top songs listened to throughout the year. Along with wrapped, Spotify released overall listening data, crowning Taylor Swift this year’s most-streamed artist, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology the top-streamed album, and “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter the most-streamed song.

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan reportedly split after a year of dating
After a year together, sources have confirmed that singer Sabrina Carpenter and actor Barry Keoghan have decided to take a break. The two were first romantically linked in December of 2023 after being spotted out to dinner together in Los Angeles. In the year since, both Carpenter and Keoghan have been open about their relationship, attending events such as the Met Gala, the Vanity Fair Oscars party, and a Grammys afterparty hand in hand. Aside from public appearances, the two have regularly expressed support for each other via social media and in interviews. Keoghan also starred in the music video for Carpenter’s hit song “Please Please Please” which was released in June. The two have yet to speak publicly on their split.

Barry Manilow announces lifetime residency at Westgate Las Vegas
At 81-years-old, Barry Manilow is still selling out crowds and wowing audiences, and he shows no signs of slowing down. The “Copacabana” singer has recently agreed to a lifetime residency at the International Theater at Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The news comes just a few months after Manilow broke the venue’s performance record, which was previously held by Elvis Presley, with his 637th performance. He is set to take the stage at the International Theater this week with a series of holiday performances from December 5 to 14. Fans interested in visiting “Barry’s house” can now purchase tickets for shows through November 2025.

National Sock Day is celebrated in the U.S.
Cozy up with your comfiest pair of socks because today is National Sock Day. While worn for comfort and occasionally style, socks can be one of the most important pieces of an outfit, as they can prevent blistering from shoes, improve circulation in your feet, and prevent foot odor throughout the day. Celebrate the occasion by pairing your outfit with a matching pair of socks, or curl up on the couch with an extra fluffy pair to stay warm and cozy.

World Wildlife Conservation Day is also recognized globally
Established in 2012 by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, World Wildlife Conservation Day raises awareness for the natural environments around us and the wildlife that inhabits them. The holiday motivates animal lovers and activists to speak out against practices such as hunting and poaching against endangered species. It also encourages individuals to reflect on their own environmental impact to lessen the negative effects of human interference in natural ecosystems.
