Tony nominations unveiled with Rachel McAdams, Sarah Paulson, and Daniel Radcliffe earning nods
McAdams and Paulson are both nominated in the same category for Best Leading Actress in a Play. Radcliffe is nominated for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in Merrily We Roll Along. Other notable nominees include Eddie Redmayne, Jim Parsons, Jonathan Groff, Leslie Odom Jr., and Jeremy Strong. The award ceremony will be hosted by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose on June 16.
WNBA star Candace Parker announces retirement
After a 16-year career and 3 championship wins with 3 different teams, Parker is stepping away from the league. She announced her retirement in an Instagram post, writing “I’m grateful for family, friends, teammates, coaches, doctors, trainers & fans who made this journey so special.”
Actress Haley Pullos to serve jail time following DUI charge
The General Hospital actress will serve 90 days in jail before 5 years on probation for her involvement in a wrong-way head-on crash in California last year. Pullos must perform 200 hours of community service and pay restitution to the other driver involved.
