What's Happening!! child star, Danielle Spencer dead at 60 after battle with cancer
The actress known for her role as Dee in the 1970s sitcom What's Happening!!, died on Monday. The cause of death was attributed to gastric cancer and cardiac arrest. In addition to her acting career, Spencer became a veterinarian and advocate for animals. Spencer is survived by her mother, Cheryl Pelt, and her brother, Jeremy Pelt, who is a jazz musician.
