Rapper Logic Makes Directorial Debut with Paradise Records at the Tribeca Festival

Clerks writer and director, Kevin Smith edited the film as well as served as executive producer

Logic premiered his first film, Paradise Records at the Tribeca Festival at the Village East Cinema in New York City Friday night. The Grammy-nominated musician told us all about the no-holds-barred comedy which he wrote, directed, produced and stars in.

We also got to chat with Clerks writer and director, Kevin Smith who edited the movie as well as served as executive producer. “Paradise Records is just an absolute blissful day in the life,“ he told us, “Funny as hell. Make people happy.”

The film follows Cooper (played by Logic) as a record store owner on the brink of foreclosure, fighting to save his beloved shop and the livelihoods of his motley crew of entertaining employees.
